chhoradhindora

Bagal Mein Chhora, Sheher Mein Dhindhora: Boy in armpit, announcements all across town. Looking high and wide for something that’s been hiding in plain sight all along, e.g. Indian black money (most of which is in India in cash while we look for it in overseas bank accounts), the artistic talent of this webcomic’s creator (which is in his thoughts and not his drawing bitches!).

(Hindi Enthusiasts will notice that ‘bagal’ means both ‘next’ and ‘armpit’ and is probably not used in the sense of armpit in this saying. But Ego Enthusiasts will notice that this Webcomic’s creator already talks about himself in the third person and, therefore, obviously doesn’t give a shit.)

pahadchuhiya

Khoda Pahaad Nikli Chuhiya: Dug up a mountain and uncovered a mouse. Getting phenomenally underwhelming results from a great effort/expectation, e.g. the first year of Modi’s government, Bombay Velvet, this webcomic in an alternate reality where it was touted as the biggest cultural milestone in history and ended up being shittily drawn literalist depictions of colloquialisms (only half of this is true in this reality).

(Art Enthusiasts will notice that the first panel is a Landscape drawn in Portrait orientation.)

Muhaavare Evam Lokoktiyaan #6

Gade Murde Ukhaadna: To dig up buried corpses. To rake up old irrelevant issues, e.g. the Media frenzy over whether Nehru possibly snooped on Bose’s relatives, this webcomic tackling the issue of Nehru possibly snooping on Bose’s relatives after everyone (including the media) has already forgotten about it. (Tombstone enthusiasts might notice that this tombstone is […]

subah

Subah Ka Bhoola Agar Shaam Ko Ghar Aa Jaaye To Use Bhoola Nahi Kahte: If someone lost in the morning returns home in the evening, you don’t call them lost. If someone returns to the right path you should forgive them and forget their wrongs, e.g. Congressmen on Rahul’s return, the three fans of this webcomic on its return.

(RaGa Enthusiasts will notice that maybe “Laut ke Buddhu ghar ko aaye” would have been a more apt description of Rahul’s return…but pedantic language enthusiasts will remind them that the first part of that saying “Jaan bachi to Lakho paaye” doesn’t really fit at all.)

gadhe

Aise Gayab Huye Jaise Gadhe Ke Sar Se Seeng: Disappeared like the horns from a donkey’s head. To disappear without leaving any trace, e.g. Rahul Gandhi, this Webcomic’s creator’s drawing talent.

(Donkey Enthusiasts will notice that these drawings look nothing like an actual donkey…donkeys are way cuter than we give them credit for.)

billihaj

Nau Sau Chuhe Khaake Billi Haj Ko Chali: After eating 900 mice, the cat goes on a religious pilgrimage to Mecca. To do something hypocritically holier-than-thou, e.g. Vogue creating a whole campaign on Women Empowerment after years of doing what they do, this Webcomic judging someone on their choices after choosing to make this Webcomic.

(Food Enthusiasts will notice that it is impossible for the cat to be so happy in the last frame after having stuffed itself with 9 Awesome Grand Buckets from KFM.)

Kulhari

Apne Pair Par Kulhadi Maarna: To hit your own foot with an axe. To do something to spoil your own chances, e.g. What’s been happening with the Aam Aadmi Party, Not spending too much time on the artwork for this Webcomic.

(Axe enthusiasts will notice that the planned trajectory of the axe is nigh impossible.)
